 Delhi metro announces new rule for Jan 11

New Delhi, Jan 9: In view of rising crowd at the metro stations, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced new rules to control overcrowding.
The new rules is set to come into effect from Monday, Jan 11.
According to new rule, commuters can stay inside the metro premise according to length of their journey.
All commuters who are planning to travel a distance where the fare presently is upto Rs18, would be allowed to remain in the system for 65 minutes.
Time duration allowed would subsequently increase for longer journeys in the next two time zones i.e 100 minutes for traveling over approximately 14 stations and 180 minutes for travelling over approximately 15 stations and above.
